Blane Austin Counsil

Blane Austin Counsil is from Madisonville, Texas. During his time at Texas A&M, he was a member of the Corps of Cadets. He served as the Commander of the O.R. Simpson Honor Society, Scholastics Officer of the 3rd Brigade Executive Staff, and Leather Officer of Parsons Mounted Cavalry. He also served as the President for the Department of Agricultural Economics Aggie REPs. In addition to these positions held, Blane also interned with Congressman John Carter (TX-31) as well as the Texas A&M University System office in Washington D.C. While at A&M Blane worked for Texas AgriLife Extension Service while he completed his Bachelors in Agricultural Economics and a Master’s in Public Service Administration. Presently, he works as a project coordinator for Fathom5, an industrial technology company, based out of Austin, Texas. He is a member of Sul Ross #1300 Masonic Lodge, a member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Livestock Committee, and a volunteer for Rodeo Austin.

Blane is excited to pay it forward to students within the Aggie family just as individuals did for him.
