Sul Ross Capital, Inc. Recognized as a 501(c)(3)
The IRS Recognized SRC as Nonprofit Organization retroactive to June 13, 2021
January 17, 2022—College Station, Texas [FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE]
On December 2, 2021 Sul Ross Capital, Inc. (“SRC”) received notice from the IRS that it was recognized as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. From the inception of SRC, in October 2018, it has been the primary goal of the Board of Directors to give back to the youth of Texas, and one of our primary objectives was to become a recognized nonprofit. This year SRC has raised enough funds to provide two scholarships, restructured, expanded, and achieved tax exempt status. These small milestones have established a firm foundation, and SRC is excited to grow to new heights in 2022.
The receipt of 501(c)(3) status marks the start of a larger vision of becoming a preeminent non- profit in the United States. “I am proud of the boards hard work in giving of not one but two scholarships. Giving back to the Aggie family is at the core of our purpose.” Said Gregory Cross, SRC Director and Treasurer, regarding the receipt of our 501(c)(3) status.
“I am elated to learn that Sul Ross Capital, Inc has received this well-deserved tax-exempt designation from the Internal Revenue Service. I look forward to furthering the core mission of SRC by continuing to provide a philanthropic benefit to the local community for many years to come." Said Robert Connor Hull, Director and President of SRC.
“This is a culmination of our years of dedicated work to provide Aggies with a ‘hand up’ to assist them in graduating from Texas A&M.” Said Coy Allen Westbrook, SRC VP, Secretary, and Director.
