Sul Ross Capital, Inc. Announces 2022 Scholarship Award Recipients

SRC to provide two scholarships to Texas A&M Students

This year Sul Ross Capital, Inc. (“SRC”) provided two scholarships to two current Texas A&M University students. The application opened November 1, 2022, and closed on December 1, 2022. The scholarship was posted on our website (https://www.sulrosscapital.com).

We are pleased to announce our inaugural scholarship recipients; these two students were selected after a thorough review and discussion of their applications. These young leaders represent the wealth of talent and knowledge that Texas A&M University is known for globally. It is our hope that this scholarship award will contribute to their continued academic and professional success while in school and beyond.

Mr. Justin Compton ‘24 - $1,000 Award

Justin is a Senior at Texas A&M (Class of 2023) studying Industrial and Systems Engineering while also working towards a Master's in Finance through the MSF program at Mays. He is a member of the Corps of Cadets in Squadron 6 and currently has the privilege of serving as the squadron's Commanding Officer for the 2022-2023 academic year. Originally from Illinois, he and his family have called Sugar Land, Texas, home for the last 14 years. Justin will work at Texas Instruments as a Business and Operations Intern this summer before returning for a 5th and final year of study at Texas A&M in the MSF program. After graduation, he plans on pursuing a career in corporate finance. 

Mr. Nikolas Faust '25 - $500 Award

Nikolas Faust is a 4th year PhD Candidate in the Texas A&M University, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Department of Poultry Science as well as a 2nd year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Student in the Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine. Nikolas is a native of Snook Texas, but currently lives in College Station/Bryan Texas with his wife, Sarah, and 9-month-old daughter, Alice. He currently President of the TAMU Student Chapter of the American Association of Avian Pathologists, a member of the Texas A&M University School of Veterinary Medicine white coats, and a member of the Poultry Science Graduate Student Club. Upon completions of his degree’s Nikolas plans to apply for the opportunity to participate in a poultry medicine focused residency programs with the goal of joining the U.S. poultry industry as a veterinarian for a major poultry integrator.
