Sul Ross Capital Inc. Announces Scholarship Award Recipients and Raffle Winners
February 1, 2024—College Station, Texas
[FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE]
This year, Sul Ross Capital Inc. (“SRC”) provided two scholarships to two current Texas A&M University students. The application opened November 1, 2023, and closed on January 31, 2024. The scholarship was posted on our website (https://www.sulrosscapital.com).
We are pleased to announce our scholarship recipients; these two students were selected after a thorough review and discussion of their applications. These young leaders represent the wealth of talent and knowledge that Texas A&M University is known for globally. It is our hope that this scholarship award will contribute to their continued academic and professional success while in school and beyond. A brief bio of each award recipient is included below.
Ms. Rowan Davenport ’27 - $1,000
Rowan is a freshman engineering student at Texas A&M University. She would like to pursue a career in the aerospace industry upon graduation, and is currently a member of the A&M Sounding Rocketry Team in order to get more technical experience in that field. In her free time, Rowan enjoys running, baking, and spending quality time with my friends and family.
Mr. Jace Stevens ’24 - $500
Howdy! I am Jace Stevens, I am from Victoria Texas, and I am a senior Environmental Studies major, but more importantly I am the loudest and proudest member of the Fighting Texas Aggie class of 2024. I spend the majority of my time working for 12th Man Productions, and I also am a member of Saw ‘Em Off men's organization. I love attending Aggie sporting events and value Aggie traditions. My professional plan is to work in environmental consultation once I graduate.
SRC would also like to thank all who participated in our annual fundraising raffle, which directly benefits our scholarship program. Congratulations to Parker Matthews and Tim Akers who won our 1st and 2nd place raffle prizes, respectively.
